Hacienda Farmhouse Easter

Easter time in Tucson is the most wonderful time! The weather is absolutely gorgeous and the desert is in bloom. It is the perfect season for outdoor dining and celebrations.

Not only is our surrounding desert beautiful but the garden is full of veggies and spring flowers. I have noted special times of the year where everything comes together in the most magnificent way and the 3rd week of April is literally one of the best times! …. Thanksgiving time being a close second!

For our Hacienda Farmhouse Easter I wanted to bring the garden and desert together.

I paired my faux eucalyptus garland with faux succulents, artichokes and spring flowers for a gorgeous center piece down the middle of our outdoor farm table.

The table was set with my amazing collection of vintage dishes passed down from my family. On each plate my girls set the tops of real succulents cut from our garden.

When the party was over they placed these succulents into their fairy gardens and they continued to grow!

Cactus Eggs

We made a really fun Easter project by painting these wooden eggs an avocado green and marking them with an “x” using a sharpie marker. I found these faux little flowers from an old necklace and hot glued them on.

Voila, cactus eggs!

Egg Hunt

This Easter egg hunt in our garden was magical, with so many places to hide.

I found the cutest signs to point the kids in the right direction. They re-hid the eggs so many times and it was Easter egg hunts on repeat all day!

And no Easter is complete without inviting your farm friends!

The bunnies wore flower crowns and joined the girls for afternoon tea! The table was set with vintage tea cups and the girls felt so fancy.

Easter Brunch

For Easter brunch I served my favorite go to frittata and a spring salad using the abundance from our garden and chickens. Click on link below for my Farmhouse Frittata Recipe.

Such a wonderful day as our hunts come to end and we count how many eggs we found and of course our blessings.

The Easter egg hunt ended at the girl’s bean teepee in their garden. We wrapped the teepee with an old quilt to add shade during the party.

And with all this fun to be had it definitely was time for a nap outside on this most glorious day!

Happy Easter, so much to be grateful for!
